All American Girl by Meg CabotThe main conflict of this story is that Samantha ditched her art class. At first Samantha didn’t really care, “So I shouldn’t have even felt guilty about ditching art class. Not really.”(pg. 39) She was afraid she was gonna be caught, because the president’s son is in her class. The president’s son is David, “And into the room walked David, the President’s son. Who also happened to be David from my drawing class with Susan Boone.”(pg. 58) Also, affects her because her art teacher Susan Boone was harassing her by saying she was gonna tell the rest the truth that she ditched. On the same day she ditched was the day she saved the president. So, this makes the conflict internal and external.
